Chronological resumes use date for listing previous work experiences. This format is perfect for someone who has been working in the same field i.e. career path and has lot of progress and promotions. This type of resume shows a progressive career. Finally, you can use a combination of both if you want the employer to have a more comprehensive view of your experience and career. This format highlights the skills and describes the work experience.
Federal resumes require more information that resumes for the private sector. You have to include information regarding: job title, job announcement number, job grade, your name, address, email, phone number, citizenship, special tasks and hiring, college name, city, zip, majors, number of hours completed, high school name and city, dates of diplomas etc.
When you are done concentrate on the appearance of the CV. Does it look professional and ready to be read by the employer? Is there enough spacing, are the headings, formatting style and fond used correct and effectively? Are the margins good? Do you think it will leave a good first impression?
